Adventure Motorcycle Mechanic

In this role, you will handle a variety of tasks from routine maintenance to complex repairs on high-performance adventure motorcycles. Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake adjustments, and tire replacements on adventure motorcycles.
  2. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on adventure motorcycles, including engine, transmission, suspension, and electrical systems.
  3. Conduct thorough inspections of motorcycles to identify any potential problems or safety concerns.
  4. Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues.
  5. Install aftermarket parts and accessories to enhance the performance and functionality of adventure motorcycles.
  6. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on motorcycles.
  7. Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair recommendations and provide cost estimates.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage of tools and equipment.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in adventure motorcycle technology.
  10. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  11. Participate in adventure motorcycle events with our clients (2-3/year) to address issues on the road (as a part of the support team).

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal motorcycle mechanic training program is preferred.
  2. Proven experience as a motorcycle mechanic, with a focus on adventure motorcycles.
  3. Strong technical knowledge of adventure motorcycle systems and components.
  4. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to diagnose and repair mechanical issues.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  6. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  8. Passion for adventure motorcycles and outdoor exploration.
  9. Willingness to continually learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques in the field.
  10. Valid motorcycle driver’s license with a clean driving record (preferred).
