Over the course of seven days, you’ll traverse the diverse terrains of Colorado and Utah, from the historic towns of the Rockies to the desert expanses of Utah. With top-notch accommodations, expert guides, and a dedicated support team, you’ll enjoy the comfort and security of a well-organized tour. Join us from August 18-25, 2024, and immerse yourself in an adventure that promises to be both challenging and rewarding.

Day 1

Littleton, CO → Buena Vista, CO

Embarking on a motorcycle adventure through Magnolia may seem mundane, but thrilling moments await in its winding corners. The journey along Peak to Peak leads to the historic gambling towns of Blackhawk and Central City, echoing a bygone era of prosperity. Traversing Oh My God Road, reminiscent of a Tour of Colorado climb, reveals Idaho Springs’ charm before ascending to Georgetown’s historic allure. Guanella Pass, once an off-road gem, now offers stunning vistas of Bierstadt and Evans. The descent to Buena Vista OHV area unveils exhilarating double tracks, promising an adrenaline rush amidst breathtaking scenery. A detour here warrants exploration of BV trails, a paradise for adventurers armed with a trusty map.

Day 2

Buena Vista, CO → Lake City, CO

Starting from Buena Vista, our motorcycle expedition will ascend the Cottonwood Pass, treating us to breathtaking views along its paved eastern side. Our priority will be Taylor Park which offers tempting detours. Passing through Pitkin, we will traverse 285 to the Great Graded Plateau, unveiling wilderness vistas and graded dirt roads perfect for spirited riding. Discovering hidden FS roads will enliven our journey, culminating in arrival at Lake City.  Eventually, these roads will deliver us to Lake City just in time for the only restaurant in town to re-open for dinner.

Day 3

Lake City, CO → Blanding, UT

Day 3 of our adventure motorcycle journey through Colorado BDR, Utah BDR, and off-road routes demands speed and readiness. Exiting Ouray, we traverse Ophir Pass towards Ophir, Colorado. Amidst the rush, Ophir’s tiny population boasts a surprisingly grand post office, a curious sight. Transitioning from mountains to desert, we opt for the BDR route towards Cortez, exploring a river-side trail before indulging in a quick Subway lunch. Venturing off-road, we tour the oil field roads on the Navajo Reservation, though the ride proves sweltering. Transitioning to the Utah BDR, Butler Gulch offers breathtaking scenery on a graded dirt road, with countless unexplored trails beckoning for another day.

Day 4

Blanding, UT → Moab,UT

Day 4 marks the pivotal stretch of the Utah BDR, with Lockhart Basin posing a formidable challenge. Departing Blanding, our journey unfolds with over 100 miles on graded dirt roads, offering glimpses of striking landscapes. Lockhart Basin begins deceptively, gradually intensifying with washes and rocky obstacles. We will press on, navigating rugged terrain. 

Day 5

Moab, UT → Salida, CO

Day 5 starts with an early departure from Moab. Climbing La Sal pass, we will navigate challenging terrain, with west side obstacles contrasting the graded east side. At Medicine Lakes, we pause before the journey will continue to La Sal. Following a DIY route to Dolores Canyon, solitude defines the ride amidst stunning scenery. Near Telluride, we will whisk to Imogene Pass, a breathtaking detour. Brilliant decision to tackle Imogene Pass, rivaling Ophir and Engineer’s as Colorado’s most stunning route. Soaring above 13,000 feet, the swift motorcycle journey contrasts with jeep tours, providing exhilarating views. Seeking adventure,  we will be navigating Cinnamon Pass’s challenges en route to Lake City.. From uncertainty to triumph, day 5 epitomizes the transformative power of adventure motorcycling.

Day 6

Salida, CO → Littleton, CO

The final leg will unfold into an unexpected odyssey. Anticipating a smooth Rainbow Trail, we will face rugged challenges.. Fatigued but determined to reach Littleton for dinner we will navigate unforeseen obstacles through Hartsel. Hindered by State Lands fences, we will persevere, opting to bypass highway traffic via Boreas and Loveland passes. Descending Oh My God and Magnolia, we will have a triumphant end to a whirlwind adventure.
